In the 90's, D.D. Klein was a recognized model and singer. She performed vocals in the commercial TV spot of Amaro Ramazzotti and in some pretty commercial tracks, e.g. "Loving Times" by W.E.B. Then she had a sudden change of mind and has completely retired, making a total change of her lifestyle for very personal reasons. So when Steve Paradise came with her vocals and asked me to produce the record I was quite surprised. But the vocals were recorded some years ago, when probably she was still active. And this single that we at Kolonki Recording are now releasing is probably the very last featuring her vocals.

With sweet and deep vocals, from my side I have made a very classic deep soulful version, while for the rest of the production I've tried to cover a wide range of audience, with versions by Enrico Mantini for the deep-tech lovers and The Messenger (funky-deep, very clubby). And Steve's original mix has the real "soul" of the song.

Track is released on Traxsource as promo for 15 days and then on Beatport, Stompy, and Junodownload from Sep 9th.

This release is probably our biggest this year. Fantastic vocals (as always) by Terry, remixes by Island Groove, me and Deep Vintage and a very catchy "Kolonki All-Stars" mix arranged by Peter & me. Behind, the usual quality production and overview by Peter.

The oriental-styled vocal line is the real core of the song and you can appreciate it - in my opinion - in the "Kolonki All-Stars Mix"; over that mix Terry has composed the vocal line; while the fantastic Island Groove mixes change the overall mood to pure balearic clubstyle and my mix goes more on the funky-deep side.

Overall it was a big effort for all of us; we really hope that this track will circulate a lot and that will be played and appreciated.

We decided to release it right before the summer. It is an ultra-smooth release for the classic Deep House lovers.

There are 4 tracks in this EP; they range from the chilly broken-beat ouverture "Night Flight" to a classic old-school deephouse track as "Broken Promise" to a smooth track with vocals by my fellow Jay Rolandi, which gives the title to the EP ("Work To Make Your Day") to the strangest track which is "Red Jacket": a deep shuffle in 12/8 - it sounds as a "deep tarantella" but it's definitely got the groove.

As summer approaches, Kolonki Recordings turn to summer brazilian vibes with this limited edition 10" sold on Juno.co.uk and, in digital format, on Beatport and Traxsource. Produced by Cortes, it features two big names: Pedro Martins, an UK-based brazilian native musician and songwriter who did works with Azymuth, Jazzanova, Bah Samba among others, who co-wrote the song with Peter, sung the lyrics, played some instruments and had a general overview of the project with Peter, and Nick Van Gelder, a former member of Jamiroquai, the man who wrote "Emergency on planet earth" and other songs of the band during its golden years in the mid 90's, who made a fantastic, all live-played remix of the song in the classic space funk style but with a strong brazilian flavor as well.

Don't take this too seriously...it was made as a joke but it's real... The famous TV comedian actor Giovanni Vernia is now on shops with his debut single "Essiamonoi"! Produced by Harley&Muscle and distributed by Self, this 12" maxi-single has nothing to do with the deep and funky sounds you are used to hear from me, but it is perfect for dancefloors where people just want to have fun. As for my version, I'm sure a lot of people will criticize it...very different from my usual sounds...but it was committed directly by Giovanni Vernia - he wanted me to do it in Adam K's style - dreamy trance-house and so I did.

This 12" single is just the smaller part of a much bigger project and investment by Time Records, which mainly focuses on the "Essiamonoi" compilation, released on a double-CD set, and distributed by Self as well, featuring some of the top electro, minimal and progressive house tracks of the last months. There, on CD2 you can find Feather Parisi's "No Way Out" (Deep Progressive Mix), a project of some months ago which was produced and composed by me and released on Beatport in Sep 2008. A kind of sound which sometimes I like to do...but don't take it too seriously OK?

This is the first serie of a set of remixes of Rosa Morena's songs taken from the "No Fim Do Dia EP" (KLK008), released at the end of the last year by Kolonki Recordings. Peter did a very good job with this project, because he managed to produce a very musical EP, focusing on the songs rather than on the arrangements in the original release, and to keep the club stuff for the remix packages.

The 6 remixes of "Te Amo" cover almost all tastes of house music freaks. The remix project involved me, Brazilian Soul Crew, Toni Toolz and The Groovegetters. My remix is a classic deephouse act, only with a slightly more clubby beat than usual; BSC mixes are quite interesting as well, moreover their dub which is a perfect balance between tribal, deep and minimal house; Toni Toolz mix is a modern house mix with a smooth electro style; and I've found quite funny and interesting the Groovegetters Dub - some kind of indie-dance, nu-disco house, very cool for the most "alternative" dancefloors.

As always, the package includes a little "gem" from Peter; in this case we have his bossa mix which I'd call original mix because there you can hear the real soul of the song. A very slow beat with just guitar, vocals, shaker and percussions.

In my opinion, one of the best Kolonki's releases so far. Unlike the last KLK009 Dihann Moore's release, this will stay a digital-only release. You can buy it on Beatport, Traxsource and Juno Download.

Brand new release for Soulstar Records. Pure vocal deephouse! The 12" includes the main mix as well as remixes by Harley&Muscle, Bittersuite and me. I made a classic smooth house remix in old style, focusing on the wonderful vocals and on the rhodes chords progression. Sometimes I listen to it and it reminds me something by Mousse T from the good old days... for example that magic thing which was his remix of Ann Nesby's "Hold On"... Quite few of you will remember that track, but for sure I've been influenced by it! Anyway, so far people seem to like it a lot! Check it out. It was 1996 when Dihann Moore was performing at BBC on "Top of the pops" singing "Gimme Luv" by Alcatraz. Since then, a lot of live performances and some minor singles with other labels. 15 years after Dihann Moore has evolved, even in the showbiz (he has founded her own entertainment company) and it was a pleasure for me to produce with Peter her comeback single as a solo artist for Kolonki Recordings.

The song was written by me and Erica Occhiello, while the mixes you can find on the 12" single have been done by me (2 mixes, Deep and 80'Funk), The Messenger (very cool deephouse producers from Croatia) and Davidson Ospina.
